Work and School – The Worst Places to Meet Women
Ok, so how and where do you meet women? If you are like how I was, this is probably one of the hardest parts of the whole “Getting a Girlfriend” process — meeting other women. Many of us think that school or work are good places to start. In fact, I have found that school and work are some of the worst or least-productive places to meet women, though things can happen, and I have met women there that I did end up in relationships with. Work and school are bad for these reasons:
1. Work and School are places that we have to be — it’s not really voluntary. Yes, it’s a free world, and yes, we make choices, but from a practical level, we all need to work, and many of us need to go to school (especially if we or our parents are paying for it). So when a woman is there, it’s not really because she wants to be, it’s because she has to be, and she has to put up with guys she isn’t attracted to.
2. Because work and school have a special status, special rules apply. I’m speaking especially about the workplace, but school also qualifies — it’s not cool to make someone uncomfortable in those environments, and worse yet, it’s also illegal in many cases. If you don’t want to lose your job, get sued, get fired, or force someone into a corner to the point where they humiliate you, don’t push it, and take no for answer. Even if they don’t say no, get the hint if someone seems less than interested.
3. It’s such a limited pool of people, and you have to be around them for an extended period of time. If it’s school, you could be stuck with them for the whole year, or longer if you’re in the same program. Same for work — you both might work there for years. If and when things turn sour, you will still have to pass each other in the hall, work or study together in groups, etc.
4. There are so many more people out there, that you would be limiting your chances by just depending on these two locations. I used work and school as a crutch, and when I met my wife, it was at neither of those two places — it was totally random. Don’t limit your sample size!!! Look everywhere!
